![]() Business SegmentsOur business is organized into five business segments: Real Estate:Since 2001, our real estate business has been a diversified operation with investments in a variety of sectors and geographic locations. Our real estate investment holdings have made significant investments in office buildings, corporate rentals, distribution and warehousing centers and class B and C residential properties. High Growth Technology-Based Advertising:AGE1 Holdings owns majority interests in innovative technology companies and other high growth industries primarily in emerging, international markets. Our extensive network of contacts across many industries within the technology landscape allows us to leverage our knowledge and expertise resulting in the buildup of some of the fastest growing technology-based organizations throughout Brazil and other emerging economies. Green Energy and Power:In 2005 AGE1 Holdings restructured our diverse portfolio to begin investing in private equity opportunities in the green energy and power sector. Partnering with large New York based investment firms whom are committed to green energy investments, AGE1 Holdings has taken majority interests in new growth opportunities spawned by regulatory change and new technology. By collaborating and leveraging the expertise of our high growth technology-based companies, we have been able to significantly increase revenues resulting in considerable value creation. Distressed Debt and Banking:AGE1 Holdings core debt and banking philosophy is to invest in undervalued, privately held companies that have successful business models, strong cash flows and prospects for value creation. Our disciplined, value-oriented strategy has sought to identify opportunities in all investment environments. We are able to leverage our high growth technology-based advertising expertise to drive operational improvements and revenue growth resulting in extremely attractive returns while minimizing capital loss. Minority Equity Investments:Significant deal flow has allowed AGE1 Holdings to create a specialized unit that focuses exclusively on pursuing minority interests in early stage as well as seasoned companies. Although far from formulaic, these minority equity investments share some basic features: AGE1 Holdings provides equity dollars, the leveraging of existing portfolio companies infrastructure and our operational expertise in revenue enhancement. Over time, these investments are exited through IPO’s, secondary offerings and sales to strategic buyers. When investments are sold, profits are reinvested into core real estate assets. |
